Bio Valerie is a firm believer in balance in life. This balanced approach stems from her diverse background and hobbies. Her varied careers include Emergency R.N., interpreter - Museums Canada in Ottawa, to CBC Production Staff before entering the financial world. Harnessing her solid financial management education acquired in well-known Canadian companies, Valerie successfully operated her own independent planning corporation, VCW Financial. Valerie was raised to believe that as part of a community, one has an obligation to give back to the community that allows one to flourish. Involved in volunteer work since age 14, Valerie continues to be very active, giving of her time to the community where she lives, to her church and to special interest groups. Valerie has served on several local and national boards. Valerie was a keen member of Toastmasters International and CAPS (Canadian Association of Professional Speakers). Valerie enjoyed being a speaking ambassador for Financial Planning Standards Council of Canada. Valerie enjoys speaking with reporters to bring her ideas to Canadians.
