| Bio | This is my speaker's Bio: This Tough Love critic gives the ‘true talk’ about drugs that took her all the way to the United Nations. She shares how she parented in the face of her daughter’s mental illness, substance use and the overdose that took the life of her child. With unparalleled resiliency, she holds grief in check and instead uses her loss as a catalyst to change the outcome for other Canadian families. The forerunner in bringing the parental voice to the table in the redevelopment of Canada’s drug policy, Donna inspires others to find their own resilience; to challenge the antiquated views of substance use; and the importance of keeping an open mind to the necessary changes needed in Canadian drug policy.
