Bio Ceilidh Michelle is a musician and author from Nova Scotia, based in Montreal. She was a recent recipient of a literary grant from Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec, won third prize in Fish Publishing’s nonfiction memoir contest, and has had poetry exhibited through University of Montreal and Quebec at Quebec's national library in participation with UNESCO. Her forthcoming, Butterflies, Zebras, Moonbeams, is published by Palimpsest Press. She is the first place winner of the 2017 Cuttyhunk Island scholarship for Wampanoag writers. In summer 2016, she was a semi-finalist for Disquiet's literary residency held in Lisbon, Portugal. Ceilidh has been published in Entropy, Long Reads, The Void, Broken Pencil, Matrix Magazine, McGill University’s Scrivener Review, Island Writer, Heroes and Villains, Cactus Press, Lantern Magazine, and has achieved semi-finals in The Walrus Magazine's 2007 short fiction contest.
