Bio I am a writer and a visual artist. My first book, a collection of narratives dramatizing the lives of Vietnamese women from the 11th century to the present, won the 2011 Impress Prize for New Writers in the UK, and was published there in 2012. The Canadian edition, retitled "The Swallows Uncaged, A Narrative in Eight Panels" was published in 2015 by Freehand Books of Calgary. I am currently working on a novel inspired by the life of a rebellious Vietnamese woman who lived in the 1st century AD.
