Canadian Authors – BC: Open Mic

Request your 5 – 7 minute slot and try out your words on a live audience. Your hosts will be storyteller Naomi Steinberg and writer-photographer Ron Kearse.

List opens August 16 at 8 am. No registrations will be taken before this date. First come first served. Send an email to VANtreasurer@canadianauthors.org stating your name, your genre and the name/topic of the piece you plan to read.

TIPS:
Be aware that the time allocation includes any introductory material you use, and plan to take up slightly less than the allotted maximum of 7 minutes. Choose a piece that stands well on its own, then practice and time yourself in front of a mirror. When the big day comes, be sure to look at the camera periodically.
