DESCRIPTION:Request your 5 – 7 minute slot and try out your words on a live audience. Your hosts will be storyteller Naomi Steinberg and writer-photographer Ron Kearse. \nList opens August 16 at 8 am. No registrations will be taken before this date. First come first served. Send an email to VANtreasurer@canadianauthors.org stating your name\, your genre and the name/topic of the piece you plan to read. \nTIPS:\nBe aware that the time allocation includes any introductory material you use\, and plan to take up slightly less than the allotted maximum of 7 minutes. Choose a piece that stands well on its own\, then practice and time yourself in front of a mirror. When the big day comes\, be sure to look at the camera periodically.
