DA Brown is a developmental and line editor, writer and artist living in Kingston, ON. Recycled Virgin, shortlisted for both the 3-day Novel Contest and the Quattro Novella Contest, was her first book. Since then, she has written two books of historical fiction centered on nursing education in the late 1940’s at Kingston General Hospital and elsewhere, Spit & Polish and Bib & Tucker. The third in the series, Pins & Roses, is expected in early 2027. She has been published in other locations, notably Army Times, Country Connection, the Ottawa Citizen, and a CAA Anthology. She is managed by her huge cat, Norm, and occasionally tries to play the ukulele (but will stop if asked).
