Naked in Turkey is Chandra Grace Johner’s debut book, inspired by her experiences living and travelling in Turkey. Her fascination with folklore, fable, and legend began long before she arrived on Mediterranean shores, and she continues to explore how these traditions inspire and inform exploration, transformation, and belonging in her fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. After living in Turkey, Johner returned to Canada where she opened a business with her partner in Edmonton, Alberta, raised a family, and completed her MLitt in Creative Writing with the University of Glasgow. She has taught creative writing to children and veterans, and her prose poetry and short stories have appeared in publications in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
