Brian Douglas grew up in Alberta, Canada and has lived, at least for a short while, in each of the Prairie provinces prior to making British Columbia his home in 2017. He began working in the seventh grade and has really never stopped. While careers have changed, he has been employed in jobs as varied as truck driver, clinical therapist, concert lighting designer, and hospital crisis counsellor; writing has always been his greatest passion — that thing that gives him a sense of purpose. He has three grown children and four grandchildren. Brian holds a master’s degree with a double major in clinical counselling and pastoral leadership and is a member of the board of directors for the Canadian Authors Association.
