Writing Comedy for TV: Finding the Funny
North York Central Library

Jeff Biederman is an award-winning TV writer, showrunner, and educator with over two decades of experience in television writing and production. He has written and produced over 250 episodes of TV, including the hit family comedy series Life with Derek, and has received multiple awards, including the Writers Guild of Canada award for Best Youth Writing. Jeff co-created Overruled!, winning a Gemini for Best Youth Series, and the sitcom Spun Out, nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Comedy Series. As a professor at Toronto Metropolitan University and Seneca Polytechnic, Jeff continues to shape the next generation of screenwriters.

He will be running a series of open lectures at the North York Central Library in May and June. Registration is open now! Please call 416-395-5639 to register for these programs.
