THREADS: Cultural Conversations 2025

The online cross-cultural learning conference, launched in 2021 by Saskatoon Open Door Society, brings Indigenous, non-Indigenous, and Newcomer communities together through conversation, creativity, and shared visions. This year, writers, poets, and storytellers are invited to explore the theme of “Reimagining” through the powerful lens of language, identity, and cross-cultural creativity.

This free national event offers a space where stories connect us, and where voices from diverse cultural backgrounds come together to reflect, question and reimagine. Whether you’re a writer, poet, editor, or cultural worker, this conference offers an inspiring and thoughtful space to explore how storytelling builds bridges between cultures – and how words carry the power to reimagine our world.
