An Unforgettable Literary Evening with Author Amanda LeDuc
Join members of Muskoka Authors Association (MAA) on for an unforgettable literary evening with author Amanda Leduc! Step into a world of wonder, imagination, and magic realism as acclaimed author Amanda Leduc shares her latest novel—a spellbinding tale where the line between human and animal dissolves.
Leduc’s story follows two walking, talking hyenas as they interact with humans over decades, acting as strange messengers of change. When a young boy in 19th-century Scotland is exiled for seeing the divine in animals, he embarks on an extraordinary journey that leads to a new faith—one where animals begin to speak, and humanity must reckon with the wildness it has long denied. This captivating novel is both joyful and devastating, inviting readers to rethink what it means to be human.
PLEASE NOTE: New Location for this meeting is the Bracebridge Public Library, located at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, 24 Salmon Avenue, Bracebridge. The meeting will take place in the gathering space by the fireplace near the circulation desk.
