Black Lives Matter is currently at the forefront of the news cycle, with worldwide protests and shocking stories revealed almost daily of incidents of systemic racism. In recounting a year of personal experience of racism, Black anti-racism activist and author Desmond Cole offers his experience as a lens through which we can see ourselves clearly. With Anita Jack-Davies, a Black author and specialist in equity, diversity, and inclusion, Desmond illuminates how we must become allies and activists, supporting Black protest, and taking active part in combatting racism to build a world where everyone, including Black people, feels safe, heard, valued, and empowered.
