Language remembers, the Eramosa river remembers, every stone it’s ever smoothed, every plant and creature along its bank remembers, in its own way, what it’s like to really land in a place. And for the 2025 festival this September 4th to 7th, 2025—gather again to remember, too.

The Eden Mills Writers’ Festival has always been a place where words go to breathe. Where a poem can unfurl at the pace of riverside ferns, where a novel’s first draft is given space to stumble. This year, the festival returns to that ethos—slow, deliberate, and deeply communal—and your help is needed to write the next chapter.
