From the Savanna to Land of Snow: Various things inspired Tololwa M. Mollel to become a Story Sharer. Among them, his early and enduring love of reading and writing, growing up in a storytelling culture, practicing theatre and – above all – his move to Canada and to new opportunities. Through examples and excerpts from his work, photos, video clips, and storytelling, Tololwa will demonstrate what his journey from the heat of northern Tanzanian savanna of his childhood to Edmonton snows, has meant for his Story Sharer role. His engaging journey will not only entertain you but will also instruct and inspire you as a Story Sharer.

Edmonton-based Tololwa M. Mollel considers himself a Story Sharer. He writes plays and stories and has published over 20 children’s books in English and Kiswahili (Swahili), the national language of Tanzania where he was born. His writings have been translated into various international languages. Tololwa performs his stories widely.
