Canadian Authors Association – BC: Author Talk – Poems Line by Line, with Renée Sarojini Saklikar

Renée Sarojini will share with us the secrets of her writing, and the rewards and challenges she has encountered. She will read and walk us through one or two of her poems line by line, explain how to experience these poems and their images, and examine their construction – pointing to the language, the line breaks, the themes, the mood, and the overall effect. After her presentation you will have a better appreciation of the art of poetry and may even want to write some poetry of your own.
