Peterborough’s a mystery. At least it will be for one day this month. Organized by Canadian Authors – Peterborough, The Mystery Writers Craft has much to offer those who would like to write a who-done-it or are just interested in mystery novels.
Two celebrated Canadian mystery authors will be making presentations on October 20. Vicki Delany will lead off with Page One Chapter One: Starting your novel with impact. Steve Burrows will talk about applying one’s passions to writing. Vicki is a past president of the Crime Writers of Canada and her work has been nominated for the Derringer, the Bony Blithe, the Ontario Library Association Golden Oak, and the Arthur Ellis Awards. Steve Burrows is an award-winning writer, journalist, and past recipient of a “Nature Writer of the Year” award from BBC Wildlife.
The mystery day begins at 9:30 am on October 20th in the Friendship Hall of Mark Street United Church at 90 Hunter Street East in Peterborough, ON. Everyone is invited to attend. Admission for the daylong session is $30.00, while students will pay $15.00 or what they can.
