Bio My interest lies with relationships with land broadly defined. Land includes earth, air, water, and all those beings animate and inanimate that dwell therein. My birth family and my home beside the banks of the Campbell River formed my earliest memories. Since that time, as a person of white, euro-ancestry, I have focused my work on learning with Indigenous people and communities. I am the author/editor of five books and numerous articles from popular press to scholarly publications. Recently, I have turned to film-making as another, differently accessible, form of creation. I have also worked as a high school English teacher, a university professor and am returning to independent research and writing.
