Bio | Frances Peck wrote fiction and poetry until the realities of adulthood and rent steered her toward a career as a freelance writer, editor and instructor. Known for her writing and workshops on the finer points of language, she is the author of Peck’s English Pointers, a co-author of the HyperGrammar website, and an occasional essayist and blogger. Now she's rediscovering the magic of making things up. Her debut novel, The Broken Places (NeWest Press), was a Globe and Mail best book of 2022 and a finalist for the Rakuten Kobo Emerging Writer Prize. Her second novel, Uncontrolled Flight, came out in September 2023. |
