Bio | Born and spent childhood in England; immigrated to Canada with family; Canadian citizen. Arts and Library degrees, McGill University. Professional writer/author for children since 1990's, specializing in children’s magazines: fiction, nonfiction and poetry. CAA Waterloo-Wellington Branch was my first writing home, where ‘writers helping writers’ became a reality for me! 🙂 Publications below. Faculty credits include Highlights Foundation Writers Workshops; Conestoga College ‘Writing for Children’ courses; 15 years with The Institute of Children’s Literature, and time as a Consulting Editor (reader) for Boyds Mills Press.
