Sep 13 2023 – Author Talk – Presentation by Will Richter, winner of the 2023 CBC Short Story Competition
Will’s presentation will focus on how he goes about writing his stories, from conception and drafting to final edits and submission. Along the way he’ll discuss some of the lessons that writing short fiction has taught him – and how applying those lessons might help distinguish your work in the eyes of editors, readers, and competition jurists alike.
This is a great opportunity for us to learn from a successful writer about the craft and techniques of writing short stories, as well as the challenges and strategies involved in submitting them to journals and literary competitions.
