About this Event:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new year has begun and authors\/poets are welcomed to share their work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry on Zoom. Whether you choose to share a published piece or a work-in-progress, we\u2019re excited to hear your words!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are reading spots for 10 Canadian Authors\u2013Toronto members and two non-members. Each person will read for four minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reserve your spot as a reader<\/em>, please email CAA\u2013Toronto Secretary Adam Meridan (hellomeridan at gmail.com) with the subject line \u201cJan open mic and name\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking forward to hearing your words!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All are welcome to attend, and we hope you\u2019ll invite friends and family to join the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: We are requesting readers to present works that do not have any mentions of extreme violence, rape, incest and subjects that could be triggering and reduce the enjoyment of the event for others.<\/p>\n\n\n

We\u2019re working to expand the number of writing circles that we can offer to members. We\u2019re looking for branch members to launch and moderate new Authors\u2013Toronto writing circles outside of the<\/a> downtown core. Our Annex Writing Circle meets the second Thursday of every month at the CSI Annex and is at capacity, but we are open to working with new members to start another monthly group at the same location. Please email Lee at TOpresident1 at canadianauthors.org for more details about writing circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
