After registering on zoom, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canadian Authors\u2013Toronto President JF Garrard and other execs will host this Write-In Event. Members, nonmembers, and all fellow writers who want to set aside some time to write are free to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this event is to either kickstart writing projects or to continue them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The breakdown for this event is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. 25 min writing session<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. 5 min break<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. 25 min writing session<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Closing comments and round of applause!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This is an informal event designed to help us feed off of each other\u2019s creative energies and you are free to come and go for breaks as needed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    All are welcome to this free event via Zoom, but pre-registration is required.

    You will receive a personalized Zoom link. Please save it and use it to get into the event.

    The time of chills and thrills is upon us now, and this open mic night features deliciously spooky tales shared by 14 Canadian Authors\u2013Toronto members and one non-member reading their fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. Whether you choose to share a published piece or a work-in-progress, we\u2019re excited to hear your words! All are welcome to attend, and we hope you\u2019ll invite friends and family to enjoy a wonderful frightful time.

    Reading spots are reserved for CAA\u2013Toronto members, with one exception: as part of our continual outreach efforts, we\u2019ll invite one non-member to read at each open mic.

    In today\u2019s world it can be too easy to lose touch with fellow authors, to disconnect from writing and get stuck in the realm of the mundane, non-writerly life. Nothing cures the humdrum and gets those creative juices flowing quite like grabbing dinner or a drink with another author \u2014 or better yet, a group of authors! 

    Please join us for our 2024 Summer Social as we gather in a local pub for an evening of chatting and catching up with fellow CAA\u2013Toronto members. Come out, raise a glass, and reconnect with your writer friends.

    Drinks and meals are at your own expense, but CAA\u2013Toronto will buy some appetizers to share at the table!

    About this Event<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    For the month of May, Canadian Authors Association’s Toronto branch is an official sponsor of LiterASIAN Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We are pleased to invite you to the LiterASIAN Toronto 2024<\/strong> event, hosted at the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library in collaboration with The Asian Canadian Writers\u2019 Workshop (ACWW). This year\u2019s theme is Recovery<\/strong><\/em>, where writers engage in a literary dialogue towards fostering cultural understanding, promoting diversity, and amplifying Asian Canadian voices. Through exploration, the panelists collectively navigate pathways towards recovery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Panelists includes Marjorie Chan, Denise Chong, Janika Oza, Linda Rui Feng with moderator Larissa Lai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This event is free, and all are welcome to attend. Space is limited, registration is required in advance by MAY 15th<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
