Canadian Authors Association, Toronto Branch is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the Toronto writing scene and in the wider Canadian arts and culture ecosystem. As part of that commitment, and to support our fellow writers, we are excited to be able to offer a limited number of bursaries for BIPOC writers in 2021. Bursaries will offset the cost of membership for one year.

Applications to the 2021 BIPOC Membership Bursary are now closed, and the branch is evaluating all submissions. Canadian Authors Association, Toronto Branch will be contacting successful applicants shortly. Membership benefits include access to webinars, podcasts and workshops on the craft of writing, attending writing and critiquing circles and opportunities to network with other writers across Canada, among others. CAA−Toronto is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the Toronto writing scene and in the wider Canadian arts and culture ecosystem.

Thank you to everyone who applied.
