Her most recent bestselling novel, <em>The Lonely Hearts Hotel<\/em>, won the Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction and was longlisted for the Women&#8217;s Prize for Fiction and CBC&#8217;s Canada Reads. Her previous work, which includes <em>Lullabies for Little Criminals<\/em>, <em>The Girl Who Was Saturday Night<\/em> and <em>Daydreams of Angels<\/em>, has been shortlisted for the Governor General&#8217;s Literary Award for Fiction, the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Scotiabank Giller Prize two years in a row. She has won CBC&#8217;s Canada Reads and the Danuta Gleed Award.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:18% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"288\" height=\"288\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianauthors.org\/nationalcapitalregion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/crozier_event.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1664 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianauthors.org\/nationalcapitalregion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/crozier_event.jpg 288w, https:\/\/canadianauthors.org\/nationalcapitalregion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/crozier_event-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>Lorna Crozier<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">An Officer of the Order of Canada, Lorna Crozier&#8217;s books have received numerous national awards, including the Governor-General\u2019s Award for Poetry. The Globe and Mail declared <em>The Book of Marvels: A Compendium of Everyday Things<\/em> one of its Top 100 Books of the Year, and Amazon chose her memoir as one of the 100 books you should read in your lifetime. A Professor Emerita at the University of Victoria, she has performed for Queen Elizabeth II and has read her poetry, which has been translated into several languages, on every continent except Antarctica.
