After much reflection, we have decided to discontinue the National Capital Writing Contest. A writing contest requires many hours of volunteer time and effort\u2014more than we had available. We also decided to encourage writers to pursue publication options for their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continue to provide learning opportunities for short story writing, and we keep our members up to date, to the best of our ability, with short story publication options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
