Bio Geoff's latest feature script, Special Needs, was the grand Prize Winner at the 2017 ScriptFest Screenplay Contest, as well as an Official Screenplay Selection at the Eerie Horror Film Festival, the New York City Horror Film Festival, and the13 Horror.com Film & Screenplay Contest. His earlier screenplay, Uncanny, was the winner at 2010 The Writers' Place Screenplay Competition, and his short script Move Out Clean was the script for the winning project in the 2011 MPPIA $100,000 Short Film Award. His feature comedy screenplay Change of Occupation was a winner in the Praxis screenplay competition. His first short screenplay was a winner in the 2001 BC Film/CBC Screenwriting competition and he was the writer and the Co-Producer of the award-winning short film Hide, and Associate Producer and writer of the short film Once Upon a Time on the Beach and was nominated for a Leo Award for best short screenplay for that short film.. Geoff was one of the original founders of the Gulf Islands Film and Television School, and has won awards for his poetry and non-fiction prose. In addition, Geoff has has been a reader for Telefilm Canada, and is the founder and producer of the Gulf Island Poetry Festival. He is currently the Artistic Director of the Galiano Island Literary Festival. His collection of poetry, “All the Broken Things”, has just been published by Anvil Press.
