Bio | I love writing about passionate and intense characters who try to survive in a world fraught with discord and danger. I imbue stories with realism and am thrilled when readers say that my writing has caused them to question their long-held beliefs and ethical choices. My twenty years of experience as an ER, OR, and Psychiatric nurse, treating terrorists, soldiers, and Holocaust survivors, gives me a wealth of experience to use in my writing. I produced and hosted the international and award-winning Jewish radio show, “Boker Tov,” that focused on covering global news from a Jewish perspective. When the second Intifada began I realized I had turned into a war correspondent and even traveled to Israel several times. From 1996 to 2012, “Boker Tov” afforded me the opportunity to conduct hundreds of interviews with politicians, historians, Survivors, The Simon Wiesenthal Centre, Yad Vashem, and many others. I also founded and chaired the Windsor International Writers and Conference and its outreach programs (Canada) from its inception in 2013 until 2020. I am also a sought-after editor. I edited the Chicken Soup book, O Canada: the Wonders of Winter and am currently editing eight more books from writers in the States. I also edited a book from a writer in Pakistan that has been published in eleven countries. |
