Bio Coastal living along the Northumberland Straight in Atlantic Canada is exactly where Donna wants to be. She resides in a 1909 farmstead... Directorship Donna Allard has been writing for over 40 years. It developed into a vocation while serving as a director/founder for the National Milton Acorn Festival in Charlottetown P.E.I. Donna volunteered as a director on many boards such as AIDS PEI, Alert PEI branch of the National Anti-Poverty Organization, past member of the PEI Writers Guild and past secretary for PEI Songwriters Association. She also attended UPEI to become a Special Olympics Coach. 
 Associations and Translations
 Today, she’s a professional poet, member of the Writers Federation of NB, and is a past president of the Canadian Poetry Association. On Apr 28, 2014, Donna accepted the position of Honorary member with the CCLA (Canada Cuban Literary Alliance), presented by President Richard Grove. In 2019 Donna became a member of the New Brunswick Independent Authors Association. After thirty years of being published across Canada, as well as a number of other countries around the world, her writing has also been translated into Greek, French, Shetlandic and Bengali. ‘From Shore to Shoormal’, co-authored with Shetland Island poet Natalie Hall (Brokenjaw Press, 2013), her first book by a trade publisher, is written in English, French and the nearly lost Old Scot/Shetland dialect. ​More about Donna here: https://riverbonespress.wixsite.com/donnaallardpoet/more-about-donna
