Bio | Ruth E. Walker is the author of the novel "Living Underground", a semi-finalist in the Chapters | Robertson Davies manuscript competition, and published by Seraphim Editions. Since 1996, when her first submission of fiction won Canadian Living magazine’s short story contest, she has been like the proverbial "kid in a candy store", stretching her narrative voice into many forms and genres. She is the award-winning author of fiction, plays, and poetry appearing widely in publications across Canada, in the US and the UK. Ruth was also a founding editor for the literary journal, LICHEN and is a creative writer instructor with Writescape, offering retreats and workshops throughout Ontario. Ruth lives and writes in her Oshawa home and at her cottage in Haliburton, Ontario. |
