DESCRIPTION: \nCanada’s Best Independent Authors of 2020 \nAccomplished writers are increasingly turning to independent publishing as a financially and creatively satisfying alternative to the traditional model. \nThis year The Whistler Writing Society is proud to play a part in launching many debut authors\, and soon-to-be authors at the Opening Night Showcase\, October 15. Meet some of the best independent authors in the country as finalists for the Whistler Independent Book Awards (WIBA) read from books nominated in fiction and non-fiction categories. Nominees include Jennifer Rouse Barbeau\, R.E. Donald\, C.V. Gauthier\, Anna Byrne\, Laesa Faith Kim and Mary O’Sullivan. With moderator Lynn Duncan. Winners will be announced at Friday night’s Literary Cabaret. \nThis event is free\, but you do need to RSVP to get your Zoom link. \nRSVP HERE. \n
