DESCRIPTION:The FOLD Kids Bookfest includes a fantastic array of events featuring a diverse array of authors and illustrators who’ve created books for young people (ages 0-18). In addition to events centred around children and young people\, the festival includes opportunities for adult writers of children’s literature to take part in pitch sessions and to develop their craft through in-person workshops with the festival’s incredible lineup of authors. \n  \n \n  \nDoodle With Me – Ideal for children 6+ \nDebbie Ridpath Ohi reads from her latest picture book\, Gurple and Preen: A Broken Crayon Cosmic Adventure (written by Linda Sue Park and illustrated by Debbie)\, then shows young artists and writers how to brainstorm character and story ideas through found object doodles. Bring paper and something to draw with! \nThis event includes a full storybook reading and will only be available live.
