DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin us for the second biennial CWS2018\, a gathering of members of writing organizations and academics from across the country for a big joint conference. Whether you write for children or adults\, write fiction or nonfiction\, write poetry or drama\, or whether you teach or study writing\, there is something for you at CWS2018. \n\n\nThe conference kicks off on Thursday evening with a keynote from d’bi.young anitafrika\, dub poet\, monodramatist\, educator\, three-time Dora Award-winning actor\, and playwright. CWS continues with full days of seminars\, panel discussions\, workshops\, and events on Friday and Saturday. On Friday evening\, the 2018 Margaret Laurence Lecture will be delivered by Tomson Highway\, award-winning playwright\, bestselling author\, musician\, composer\, and member of the Order of Canada.
