DESCRIPTION:What does it take to make your manuscript stand out? Regardless of genre\, publishers need to see how your book would fit into their list\, how they could position it in the marketplace and\, most importantly\, how many copies they are likely to sell. This presentation will help you position your submission with these factors in mind. The first half of the session will include tips\, tricks and suggested resources; the second half will be devoted to questions and answers from participants. \nIn 2010\, Lynn Duncan founded Vivalogue Publishing with business partner Kilmeny Denny to help self-published authors achieve creative and financial success. As part of its commitment to the self-publishing community\, Vivalogue founded and continues to administer The Whistler Independent Book Awards\, sponsored by The Writers’ Union of Canada. Vivalogue also partnered with Heritage House Publishing to develop and launch their young adult imprint\, Wandering Fox Books. This experience inspired Lynn and Kilmeny to establish their own trade-publishing company\, Tidewater Press\, in 2017. \nRegister HERE.
