SUMMARY:CAA NATIONAL – The Thriving Author Series Workshop #3\, Writing in a Series
DESCRIPTION:The Thriving Author Series\nWhat does an author need to thrive? In this series presented by author Melissa Addey\, we look at five core pillars: Mindset\, publishing options\, having lots of books\, marketing them well and having multiple income streams related to writing. \nWorkshop #3\, Writing in a Series\nMost fulltime authors say they only really started seeing financial success in their writing careers once they had written several books\, not just a one-off. And the books that do best tend to be those in a series. But what if you only have an idea for one book or none of your ideas for multiple books link together? This session looks at how to develop a series as well as how to market it. We will focus on fiction but also consider important points for non-fiction\, children’s books and poetry. \nMelissa Addey is on her fourth historical fiction series. Some were planned as a series\, some developed from individual novels. Some are standalone\, others must be read in order\, so we will cover all options. \n$50 for Non CAA members.\n$15 for Intermediate & Basic CAA Members.\nFree for Full Members!\nRegister and see full details at Workshops | Canadian Authors.
