Welcome Reception (Thursday evening) The perfect way to kick off your conference! Join other arriving attendees for an informal evening of networking and casual meet & greets. Snacks and refreshments provided, cash bar available.

Writing Circles are held each morning for 90 minutes following breakfast. The sessions are led by experienced writers and writing circle facilitators using prompts and leads to help you tap into your creative self. Writing circles will be offered for fiction (facilitator Ruth Walker), creative nonfiction (facilitator Sue Reynolds), and poetry (facilitator James Dewar) and are included in your conference fee.

Yoga Sessions daily. Experienced yoga instructor and studio owner, Cat O’Connor will ready participants for a full day of creativity and learning with early morning yoga sessions held outdoors (weather permitting). Please wear comfortable clothes. Yoga mats are available onsite. Yoga is included in your conference fee.

Open mic night on Friday! Registrants are encouraged to participate in our open mic night readings. Choose from any form of work from poetry to prose and take the microphone for a 3-minute read. Registrants are asked to sign up upon arrival. Open mic readings are included in your conference fee.

Pitch Sessions are a additional fee option of $40. Space is limited and spots are filled on a first come, first served basis. You will be asked to forward a 1-page query and 10-pages of material (double spaced, 12 pt font) to our office by May 15. Submissions will be forwarded to the agent or editor you requested, and a time will be scheduled for a private 10-mintute pitch session. Participants will be given feedback on their work and provided with time to ask questions and pitch their work. This is an additional option and is not included in your conference fee. Please note – pitch session are limited and always fill fast! If there are no pitch sessions available upon your registration, you can email our office to be put on a wait list for additional spots or cancellations.

Nature Walks! Bring your walking shoes or hiking boots and take a relaxing walk just steps away through Scout Valley Conservation Park. There is also a paved running track and lit paths for those who like to keep their feet moving!

Book Fair! We will have a daily book fair open at select hours with books from our speakers and facilitators along with member books for sale. Authors will be on hand for signing opportunities.
